Martin Henry Kaplan of Queen Anne sent this email to the community today, June 15, concerning his appeal of the DNS attached to Mike O’Brien’s backyard-cottages legislation:
Good Evening Everyone,
I deeply appreciate all the support I’ve received, from every corner of our city; your hundreds of emails, your offers of help and commitment, the new voices I’m hearing ready to advance this critical appeal.
I am currently working with our attorneys to establish a strategy. Once we’ve set a timeline, defined specific action goals and the resources we’ll need to achieve them, we’ll organize citywide and move to successfully defend our appeal.
In the meantime, it’s imperative that all of us continue to reach out in every neighborhood and to every neighbor to build awareness of this threat and to build the team effort we’ll need to succeed.
Please continue to send your thoughts and questions to me and forgive me if I don’t answer personally or immediately. Our challenge is to quickly assemble and organize Seattleites from every neighborhood, every community council and every group that this legislation will seriously impact.
We look forward to future activity on this front.
