Of the 28 people on the Mayor’s HALA Advisory Committee, only a few had the neighborhood perspective. The report of that committee overwhelmingly represents the pro-development, anti-zoning advocates who want to unleash the private sector, almost without restraint and without regard for the consequences on the livability of our city.
Fortunately, our neighborhoods are full of smart, committed people, some of whom have taken it upon themselves to examine the HALA agenda point by point and make the analyses the developer-dominated committee refused to make.
